The front room in my house has always served as my office. I've always loved the size and the brightness of this room. It feels so airy and some of my most creative ideas have been born in this space.

I used to run my solepreneur business out of this room. For years I'd sit at my desk and come up with marketing slogans, social media campaigns and PR pitches. I loved working out of my house and was always very productive.

Ever since things changed with my business about two years ago, and I chose a career out of the house and back in the nonprofit sector, I haven't sat in my office very much. Today I decided to change that. I miss sitting behind my desk and coming up with creative ideas.

To create new perspective and inspiration I decided to move the room around a bit relocating my desk to a new place swapping places with my couch. Guess what, I absolutely love it! It's fresh, it's functional and it's inspired me again. In fact, I'm writing this post sitting at my desk.

I wanted to give you a look at my space - my creative space - and I wanted to share some of my favorite pieces in this room that make me so happy.

My dog, Bentley, loves the room redo too!

Moving my desk to the back wall now allows me to enjoy my bay window view. My desk used to be in the bay window so my back was to the view. Now it opens up this room even more!

Here are some of my favorite pieces I've added to the room that adds color and a bit of my personality! I especially love my piece of art that I bought on my recent trip to Belize.

After changing the room around I decided it's time to take the mirrors down behind my desk and a large world map is needed there instead. I will now be on the hunt for a cool world map to put on my back wall. Any ideas on where I can find one?

Do you have a special space in your place? Do you have a space that need a refresh? Maybe you just need to move some furniture around and give it a room redo. It may spark your creativity!
